The Sustainable Neighborhoods Program was created by the City of Lakewood as a neighborhood-level implementation tool for enhancing community sustainability. Currently, the City has eight neighborhoods in the program. Visit the Lakewood Sustainable Neighborhoods page for more information on the program.
The City and County of Denver is pleased to participate in the Sustainable Neighborhood Network. This program, founded by Lakewood, will allow Denver neighborhoods to deepen their sustainability efforts and get support and recognition from the City. Program participation can enhance the environmental and social strength of a neighborhood while demonstrating commitment to sustainability in Fort Collins. In addition, the participation benefits may include recognition from City Council, neighborhood signage, education and an increased sense of community.
